About the Initiative
Femme Incroyable is honoured to invite young people from Angola and Belgium, or those currently living in either country, to participate in a storytelling competition, contributing to the Femme Incroyable / Incrível Mulher book that will share stories of courage and connection from women across two continents and two nations, highlighting different yet shared realities, so that together we can inspire people everywhere, especially women. This is a youth-led book project that will showcase uplifting and inspiring stories, art, and creative expressions of women who embody strength, resilience, and empowerment.
Some stories will be selected by our internal jury and the top four shared online for public voting, with the two most-voted stories from each country receiving a monetary prize. This initiative, funded by the Africa-Europe Foundation as part of the #RoadToluanda25 campaign, will feature selected works in a printed and digital book published by Ésobrenós Editora in Angola and launched in Luanda and Brussels events as part of a wider Africa–Europe campaign amplifying women’s voices.
Who Can Participate

Young people aged 15–35. If you share your own story, you must be in this age range. If you share another woman’s story, you must still be 15–35, but the woman you write about can be older.

You and the woman whose story is being told, must be from Angola or Belgium, or reside in one of these countries.

Open to students, artists, writers, poets, community advocates, digital creatives, celebrities, and others.

All stories must be about a woman. Both young men and women can submit stories, but personal stories must be submitted by women.

What You Can Submit
We welcome diverse creative formats that celebrate a Femme Incroyable / Incrível Mulher — an inspiring woman. Share your own story or that of a woman who inspires you, highlighting journeys of resilience, courage, and growth, and the impact these experiences have had on you or your community. Your story should showcase the strength, connection, and achievements of women, celebrating their resilience and positive impact while inspiring others to embrace their own voices and experiences.

Submission Guidelines:

Written Stories: Well-structured, max 1,000 words. Include who she is, why she inspires you, her story of resilience and/or the impact she has had on your life or community.

Artwork: No nudity, content that objectifies women, or any offensive, discriminatory, or hateful imagery.

Poems: Celebrate the woman’s strength, courage, and positive impact.

Short Videos: Max 3 minutes. Clearly show who she is, why she inspires you, and the difference she has made.
