Her Story
Pequenina
6 years old
1st grade
Date of Birth: 13/03/2018
Lovingly nicknamed "Pequenina," she is the daughter of Nelida Manhandim, of the Mansonca ethnicity, who was a domestic worker, and Marcos Bidonga, of the Mancanhe ethnicity, who is a farmer. She lives with her grandmother, aunt, brother, and cousins.
Pequenina considers herself an orphan, as she lost her mother when she was only two years old. After her mother’s passing, her father abandoned the family, leaving the children in the care of their elderly and sick grandmother. Unfortunately, the grandmother struggles to meet the household's needs and cannot fully support the children’s education or basic necessities, leaving Pequenina in a very challenging situation.
Despite these difficulties, Pequenina enjoys school. After school, she always asks her aunt to help her with homework. She loves playing and reading. When she grows up, she dreams of becoming a doctor.
Thank you for helping and being a channel of transformation for Pequenina.
