This year, I am running the 20km Brussels not just for the challenge, but for a cause that’s close to my heart. My friend Eliane is the founder of Femme Incroyable ASBL, and it is clear from the work they do just how much impact the organization is creating.​

In Angola, over 50% of women live in extreme poverty. Most work in informal, low-paying jobs with no security or benefits, and for many, entrepreneurship is the only way to earn a living, but without training, mentorship, or resources, it is very difficult to succeed.

As a team, we are fundraising especifically for the StepUp Women Program to address this gap. For 3 months, the Program will support women (aged 18-35) from disadvantaged backgrounds with:

• entrepreneurship training

• personalized professional mentorship

• practical resources to start a business​

Every kilometer run is for these women. Every donation gives them the opportunity to break cycles of poverty and build a more stable future. While the main focus is Angola, we hope to expand the Program to Belgium if we raise enough funds, allowing us to support women from marginalized backgrounds, especially immigrants who face economic challenges.​​
