At Femme Incroyable, we’ve witnessed countless women undergo transformative experiences through our professional mentoring programme. One such inspiring journey is that of Elisa, a participant in the second edition of our Professional Mentoring Programme, which ran from 1st April to 15th June 2023. At the time, Elisa was in her final year of law school and looking ahead to her future career.

Twenty-four years ago, I found myself trapped in my first abusive relationship. For four long years, I endured physical, emotional, moral, and sexual abuse. When I finally escaped, I was three months pregnant and had to face the world alone. Despite leaving, I did not truly heal from the trauma, and years later, I found myself in yet another abusive relationship—this time, one marked by emotional manipulation that took me over a decade to escape.

During our first certificate award event for the Mentoring Programme in Angola we had the pleasure of interviewing Constância de Oliveira, a remarkable woman who has become one of the key mentors in our Professional Mentorship Programme. Constança is a mother of three, with a degree in administration, and works in accounting. While she has been primarily mentoring mothers of teenagers, her expertise lies in the professional mentorship of women in the financial sector.
